Money Market IRA
Many choose to open a Money Market Individual Retirement Account (IRA), because Money Markets usually offer a higher interest rate compared to typical checking or savings accounts. By designating some of your savings for your retirement into a Money Market IRA, you not only plan for your future, but you also receive many tax advantages.*
National Bank Of Kansas City customers can choose between a Money Market Roth IRA and a Money Market Traditional IRA. Either IRA options are effective methods for saving money and managing your income.*
IRA Contribution and Contribution Limits
A $25 minimum deposit is required to open an account. You designate the funds that we automatically contribute to your IRA for you, keeping in mind that the more you contribute the more interest you’ll earn. Just like with any other National Bank Of Kansas City account, you will receive a monthly statement that reflects your IRA contributions and interest earnings.
The same IRA contribution rules apply to a Money Market IRA as a Traditional or Roth IRA. IRA contribution limits typically range from $5,000 to $6,000 each year depending on your age and your income. (Read about our Traditional IRA or Roth IRA for more details).
In addition to our Money Market IRA, we offer customers a Certificate of Deposit IRA option. To find out if a Certificate of Deposit or Money Market IRA is the right choice for you, call us to learn the details 1-888-905-2165 or apply online. Also compare current IRA rates online.
